The Myth

This piece is a moving sculpture. There are two animations in the center of the piece. When a viewer looks down into the zoetrope they can see a moving image of a shadow on the ground walking. When a viewer looks up into the zoetrope they can see the sun pulsating. The zoetrope is a sculpture that is made out of a photograph, motor, MDF, sintra, and latex. The sculpture is approximately 20 in. x 8 in. x 8 in. Below is the documentation of the piece. First is just an image of the piece on a pedestal, second is a friend demonstrating how to view the animated portion of the sculpture. The animations were hard to capture really well, but I think the videos under the images get the main idea across.
