repetition, sourcing, puns, creating relationships
2. What do you think your role is in society?
If I identify myself as having a specific role in society then I have a responsibility to that role, and in turn a responsibility to society to fulfill that role. I don't have any responsibilities to society. I'm unabashedly selfish and self-involved.
3. In your current work and explorations, what idea or concept remains to be a mystery that you seek to answer, develop, or understand through your or your observer's discovery of your work?
I see repetition and relationships in everything. Everything seems to be a nodal point. Sometimes these relationships are forced, and sometimes they're natural, but in every case they're completely valid (to me). I'm building up these relationships until everything is connected, and no one person, place, or thing is unaffiliated. Everything is connected. I'm not a hippy, I'm a mystic.
4. How often, if ever, do you accomplish your ideal, or come close to it?
I don't know that I'm working towards or in conjunction with any ideal(s). I treat everything as a creative exercise. How can you fuck up an exercise? I'm sure I come off as some convoluted neophyte housewife that dabbles in arts and crafts, but I'm ok with that.
5. What do you think will happen on December 21, 2012?
During the day I'll be doing last minute Christmas shopping. At night I'll be drinking. I'm just being honest.
