This site was curated to show the work of friends whose art I highly enjoy and respect. Each of these artists have been an influence on me, either in conversation or more directly through collaboration. The work is not joined by a united theme, aesthetic, or medium. I believe the work is connected by its quality and interdisciplinary nature.
In this project I have included 3 images (drawings, photos, installations, etc.) and 2 time-based works (audio and/or video) from each person. Also, the interview questions were generated by the involved artists, based on questions they would like to hear the others answer. My intent is to emphasize the multiple approaches each artist takes to creating their artwork, while asking them about their thoughts on art, among other things. I plan to go more in depth with the interviews. In the future, I would like for the first group of artists to bring in others to branch from their page, and thus creating an interaction that is beyond me.
