Figure Study

In this project I address what is most interesting to me about figure drawing – watching how someone else translates what they see. The artist controls the visual experience as his drawing is projected via live-feed video. The model controls the audial experience while manipulating his bodily sounds (breathing, heartbeats) via live-feed microphone and distortion pedal. The audience is given the choice to watch the performers or the mediated, close-up projection. In collaboration with Brent Cox (draftsman).
